Royal Westminster Regiment 150th Coin

On November 20, 1863, James Douglas, Governor of the Colony of British Columbia, authorized the establishment of the New Westminster Rifle Co. No. 1. In 2013, the regiment marks 150 years since citizen volunteers formed the militia rifle company.

The obverse of the commemorative medallion has a 3D depiction of the original New Westminster Rifle Company, No. 1 (Volunteer Rifles) badge. The reverse displays the 150th anniversary logo incorporating the current Royal Westminster Regiment crest. This solid brass medallion is 1.75" in diameter with an antiqued matte gold finish, and is available for purchase by all members or supporters of the regimental family and collectors.
